New events added to Bamboo Creations Victoria website

We have now altered our website to include new events for the coming months (up until June). These have been listed down the left hand side or on the bottom of the page depending on the device you are using. We have planned many different events covering many different locations to try and take our bamboo to as many people as possible. Why not have a look (www.bamboo-plants.com.au) and come to one of these events to say Hi.

Events to be aware of: we are heading up to Sydney in April to attend the collectors fair at Hawkesbury. This is a 2 day event. Will give you more information about this later but for all Sydney people (and people traveling to Sydney in April) pencil in the 8th and 9th April. We are attending most of our regular events and are heading back to Mansfield in June.

Drepanostachyum Khasianum or known as Khasia bamboo

Khasia Bamboo on special at Bamboo Creations Victoria

Our frog on our website has been changed to show that Khasia Bamboo is now on special. A 20cm pot with a 2 metre Khasia bamboo was $69 and is now selling for $49. This is nearly a 30% discount. Get in quick as stocks are limited.

Khasia is a clumping type of bamboo with spectacular white and purple rings around the internodes. This bamboo likes certain climates. It will tolerate full sun if moist and mulched or planted in a colder climate. Is not very frost hardy. If in doubt as to where to plant this bamboo, please give us a call on 1300 654 454 and have a chat to one of our bamboo specialists.

Khasia is a clumping type of bamboo with a clump size of about 1 metre. This can form a beautiful lime green screen to a height of about 4 metres. To form a screen you need to plant each bamboo plant about 1 metre apart. This also does quite nicely in pots as a specimen plant either indoor or outdoor. Bamboo Creations at Seymour Alternative Farming Expo

The Seymour Alternative Farming expo is turning 25, yes that is correct this year they celebrate their 25th anniversary. We are very lucky to be part of this milestone as we will be attending this years expo with our van full of bamboo plants and products.

The Expo will be running in February from Friday 17th to Sunday 19th. The expo is sooo big that it gives you 3 days to be able to see it all. According to their website, there will be over 500 exhibitors at the expo (including us at Bamboo Creations Victoria).

Our stall should be around the middle oval so come over and say Hi. There will be a full program of guest speakers and demonstrations. The theme of this years expo is going green. The site will be powered Green Power Solutions, Australia's cleanest and most reliable generators using Biodiesel.

The expo is in the magnificent town of Seymour on the mighty Goulburn River just over an hours drive from Melbourne. It is held in Kings Park on Tallarook St in Seymour. It is open from 8:30am - 4pm daily.

Bamboo Creations Victoria in the high country

A new year brings a new market. We are venturing up into the high country to attend the Mansfield Bush Market. Mansfield is magnificent this time of year with plenty of bush walking and wineries to keep you entertained as well as visiting Bamboo Creations Victoria in the Mansfield Bush Market. This market is held on Highett Street on the 28^th Jan 2017 (Australia Day Weekend) from 8am – 2:30pm. The Mansfield shire will be closing Highett Street between Curia and Hunter streets which is the length of the market so you can relax and enjoy the different stalls.

Wonderful Bamboo

Once established, bamboo is very drought tolerant. A little water during the summer months will ensure that is ready for autumn and the cold winter months. Our bamboo has been grown in Victoria for the Victorian climate. All our bamboo is frost hardy and quick growing. They can block out unwanted views in less than 2 years. The next market.

From one end of Victoria to the other in the same weekend. From the high country to the beach down at Foster (near Wilsons Promontory). We are attending the Foster market on the 29^th Jan 2017. This is held on Station Street in Foster.

Bamboo creations going to the Foster market.

It is now summer and getting very close to Christmas, so why not come for a drive down the beach to the lovely town of Foster. We will be there this Sunday (11th Dec) for the Foster Market. 

This market is on the Foster Showgrounds on Station St, Foster, 3964. This has over 200 stalls with all the profits going to the local charities so come and support the area and get some interesting gifts for Christmas.

Other markets
If you miss us at Foster then we are also at Violet-town this Saturday (10th) and  Berwick on Sunday the 18th Dec. Plenty of opportunities to get your bamboo plants and other bamboo related products (like our high quality bamboo socks).
