Christmas is now only 4 weeks away. If you are looking at bamboo for Christmas this year then please put in your order early especially if you need delivery of your purchase.

Bamboo can make a fantastic Christmas present. The picture on the right is lucky bamboo.  These can make a great Christmas Kris Kringle presents or a living present for your work colleagues or team mates.  Have a look through our website as we have many bamboo related products.  Also, look into our bamboo fibre products like bamboo socks and singlets. Gisborne Market this weekend

The Gisborne market is one again this weekend and we will be taking our van full of bamboo products to this market.  These markets are great for getting all those Christmas presents or at least getting a lot of ideas.  If you order your bamboo during this week then we can bring your order to this market.

Market near the Beach - Point Nepean Market this week

Point Nepean Market

Market with a view. 

The Point Nepean market is on this Sunday (24th November 2013) from 10am to 3pm.  Bamboo Creations Victoria are a featured stallholder for this market. This is held near the Beautiful bayside town of Portsea on the Mornington Peninsula.

Parking is available on the nearby Jarman Oval for $5 per car.  Come for a drive along the sea and visit this market. Get ready for Christmas with some fantastic bamboo products or some of the other craft ideas presented at this market. Feeding Bamboo Plants

Yes that is correct, bamboo plants like a small feed about once a month.  A small amount of nitrogen once a month will keep them thriving.

Cream Stripe bamboo or Bambusa albo minor (botanical name) is on special this month.  You know it is on special as the frog on our website tells you.  Cream stripe bamboo is a clumping type that can be used as a screen or hedge.  A previous bamboo blog shows a picture of one of our clients using this as a hedge along their driveway.  If you cannot find this on our blog then it is also in our photo gallery on our website.  This bamboo can grow to about 6 metres in height and has a clump diameter of about 1.5 metres (more specifications on our website).  Here is a link to our cream stripe page - Bamboo Creations Cream Stripe Bamboo

Flemington Twilight market this weekend.

The Flemington market this weekend is a twilight market.  It runs from 3pm to 8pm at the Flemington race course.  The Flemington gardens would still be buzzing after the Melbourne Cup carnival so if you are into gardens then this would be the perfect market for you.  These markets are perfect for getting ready for Christmas.

We have also added a new market to our website.  If you like the twilight markets then we will be attending the Gisborne Twilight market on the 13th of December.

Gisborne Market this weekend

We are back to the Gisborne market this weekend.  We love attending this market as our nursery is part of the community.  This is our local market so we get to chat to our local people.  We also love it when others from other communities come and say Hello to us at our Bamboo stall.  Bring all your bamboo questions and garden ideas/requirements.

We will be taking our fabulous Cream Stripe bamboo. The picture on the right is from one of our customer.  They have used the Cream Stripe bamboo as driveway screen or block. This will grow very nicely here and block the fence to make a green hedge along the driveway.  They will be able to trim and shape this bamboo to give a lovely green effect to make driving home a real treat.

We are having a special on Mens Singlets this month.  They are being sold at 20% discount meaning that they were $25 and are now selling for $20.  Our website has been changed to reflect this discount so either visit us at a market over the next little while or purchase through the site.  Don't forget that if you purchase 3 or over bamboo products through the site then postage is free.  We have lots of fabulous colours and sizes to choose from. Bamboo Creations Victoria at Baw Baw

Wow what at great time at the Baw Baw garden and home expo.  We had a huge number of people visit our store.  The picture on the right is our stall and some of the people that were wandering around, totally enjoying the expo.

Woodend

Unfortunately we are unable to attend the Woodend market this weekend.  We have removed this from our website (don't forget to keep and eye on our website as it has all the events that we are attending over the next few months).

However, we will have more time at our nursery for you to visit and view our large range of wonderful bamboo plants.  Come along with your garden plan and lots of bamboo related questions. 

Christmas is just around the corner so why not view our other bamboo related products.  Bamboo socks (you may say - not socks again) but these socks are high quality so your gift recipient will thank you for the comfort. We also have other bamboo products like singlet and mens trunks.

If you do purchase a bamboo plant from us then take photos of the different stages of its growth and send them to us.  We love to see our plants shining in your garden.  We love the different progress shots to show others how fast this plant grows.  Send them to us and we may put them on this blog or on our website.

This weekend is the Garden and Home expo at Lardner Park near Warragul.  Bamboo Creations Victoria will be attending with lots of Different bamboo varieties. 

The Gippsland Garden and Home expo is held at Lardner Park on Burnt Store Road.   The directions from the Druin Lions club website are as follows: 
1. Proceed along the Princes Freeway towards Warragul.
2. Turn off the freeway at the first Warragul exit. The exit is clearly marked WARRAGUL and LARDNER  PARK. This takes you onto the Princes Highway towards Warragul.
3. Take the next turn to the right. over the railway line, into Lardners Track [Again sign-posted LARDNER  PARK] Continue on Lardners Track for 7 kms.
4. Turn right at the Lardner Hall [the hall is on your left].

The expo is held from 9am to 4pm both Saturday 12th and Sunday 13th October.  This Expo has over 160 garden related sites with everything for you garden lovers.
