Lucky Bamboo now on our website

Bamboo plants - lucky bamboo chinese new year
Lucky Bamboo ready for Chinese New Year
We have now put a large range of Lucky Bamboo up on our website - just follow this link: Bamboo Creations Victoria Lucky Bamboo.  Check out the different shapes and sizes available. Technically speaking, lucky bamboo is not actually bamboo. Lucky Bamboo (Dracaena Sanderana) belongs to the lily family. It gets it's common name because it resembles bamboo in appearance, with segmented stems.

We have been busy completing these pages ready for both Chinese New Year and Valentines Day.

Chinese New Year and Lucky Bamboo

In Chinese culture, bamboo is considered lucky because it symbolises strength, newness, rapid growth, flexibility and fortitude. Lucky bamboo also features in the chinese art of Feng Shui as it brings luck to your house.

Valentines Day

If you are looking for a special or unique gift for valentines day then look into the different lucky bamboo's that are available. We can deliver to you or you can come and pick up from our nursery.

Easy to look after.

The plant just needs to be kept wet and out of direct sunlight. The main recipe for a healthy plant is plenty of light (even indoor light is good enough), feed sparingly, always keep wet and avoid excessive handling.

Clumping Bamboo: Clumping bamboo will not spread as all new canes will shoot close to the mother culm. The picture of Jade Goddess or Bambusa Boniopsis is a clumping type of bamboo.  This type of bamboo is great for hedging or a contained garden feature plant.  These can also be grown in pots to add a bit of greenery to your home or garden. Our website (http://www.bamboo-plants.com.au/clumping-bamboo.php) has a list of all clumping types of bamboo. We also have specifications of each bamboo on our info page. Have a look when you are doing your garden planning or talk to us about your garden requirements.
